Voisin brothers

Voisin brothers
The Voisin brothers, Charles (1882-12), who was born in lyon, and Gabriel (1880-72), born in ozenay, saône-et-Loire, became in 1908 the first French airplane manufacturers to build on an industrial scale. Charles Voisin, who was killed in an automobile accident at Corselles, Rhône, was the first French pilot to fly in Europe in a motorized airplane (1907). Gabriel Voisin, who after 1918 dedicated himself to building automobiles, contributed greatly to the field of aerodynamics.
